Healing Recovery from Trauma and Addiction. Sabino Recovery specializes in the treatment of trauma and its resulting symptoms such as addictions, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. We know there are very real reasons driving these unhealthy behaviors and believe that traumatic experience is the root cause. Through the use of the our Sabino Model: Neuroscience Based Trauma Treatment,™ we address the root trauma early in treatment and simultaneously expose our residents to a consistent experience of staff who are empathetic, compassionate, and kind. This, in combination with our carefully selected, integrated and holistic treatments builds the new neural pathways that strengthen healthy self-perception, behavior, connection, and true healing. When residents arrive, we work together to build the optimum therapy plan. This includes determining what therapies, modalities and activities are best suited to each individual. Our assessment process produces a very carefully crafted, highly- integrated treatment plan so that the healing can begin. Resident's progress is reassessed and every week and changes to their plan are made based on what modalities are working best.

Trauma & Associative Awareness Therapy (AAT)Associative Awareness Therapy (AAT) uses the brain’s innate ability to adapt to change in a healing way, essentially “retraining” the brain to respond differently to familiar memories of trauma or pain. - Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)It is often the case that the individuals suffering from PTSD have become accustomed to seeking “safety” in harmful ways such as drug and alcohol. In truth, this isn’t safety at all, but rather a means of attempting (and failing) to cope with the painful effects of trauma. Trauma can alter one’s psychological, biological, and social equilibrium, making recovery from addictions and other unhealthy behaviors difficult or impossible without also treating the root trauma. Sabino Recovery pri ... - Betrayal Trauma
Betrayal TraumaMany times those who are faced sexual and emotional betrayal by someone they have loved and trusted are deeply wounded and confused and describe it as if their life has been pulled out from underneath them. You are not to blame for this crisis. You did not cause it or create it. Throughout your journey, we are here to provide information, focus and support. We will help you learn how to take care of yourself – as it is likely that your body and brain have been affected by this trauma, and your ... - Emotional Trauma
Emotional TraumaThe Sabino Model of Trauma Recovery acknowledges that what happened in childhood or adult life may cause one to behave irrationally in the present and even to catastrophize the future. Trauma and resulting PTSD, addiction, depression, anxiety, etc. are normal reactions to an abnormal experience. By treating the core issues of trauma such as traumatic grief, traumatic shame and attachment failure, the root of the presenting problem is attended to and the individual is less likely to relapse, cont ... - Eating Disorder Treatment
Eating Disorder TreatmentMany mental health professionals view eating disorders (including anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder, along with other dysfunctional eating patterns) as a food addiction – in that food is used in ways other than as fuel or a source of pleasure. Some, but not all, addiction treatment programs include eating disorder treatment as part of the service menu. Also, an eating disorder may be a dual-diagnosis or a co-occurring disorder with drug or alcohol addiction. - Individualized Treatment
Individualized TreatmentSome facilities have an addiction treatment protocol that all patients or clients are expected to follow, while others customize or individualize treatment based on a person’s unique needs and circumstances. Factors that may affect treatment decisions include age, lifestyle, medical conditions, type of drug, religious beliefs, etc. - Sexual Abuse and Trauma
