Phoenix House New England, founded in 1967, is one of the region’s premier nonprofit substance abuse treatment agencies, annually serving nearly 7,000 individuals at more than 30 programs and facilities throughout New England. The majority of our programs are accredited by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, a nationally recognized standard of excellence.
At Phoenix House New Hampshire, we understand that substance abuse affects every aspect of a person’s life. Recovery means not only freedom from drugs, but also freedom from the past and freedom of choice in the future. Residents of the state receive a variety of services including social detoxification, residential and outpatient treatment for adults, and transitional living support.

Before joining Phoenix House, Mr. McCormick served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Education Training and Research Associates (ETR) in the California Bay Area. Prior to and during his tenure at ETR, Mr. McCormick held numerous Interim Executive Leadership and Chief Executive Officer positions at Phoenix House California, Medic Alert Foundation in California, Brighton Hospital, an affiliate of St. John Providence and Ascension Health System, and Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. Mr. McCormick has also founded and served as Managing Partner of The Chancellor Group, a national management and consulting firm focused on strategic and operational change in behavioral health. Mr. McCormick holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota.
