While many treatment professionals say they understand addiction is disease, many still treat it like a moral issue. We recognize that our clients' challenges, disturbances in their personality, and behavior changes are caused by brain changes. Most of our clients have a dual diagnosis, which means they are not only healing from addiction, but also mental health problems such as PTSD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression and so on. We treat our patients with care, respect and understanding they are sick. Safety is our most important value. When our clients feel safe in our facility, they can start healing from their trauma and improve their lives.

Dr. Terry Sellers
Medical Director
Dr. Terry L. Sellers believes he is a lucky man. He spends his days surrounded by people he loves working in a profession which creates passion and energy for him. Through his experience, education, and life lessons he is now able to work in the addiction field as a board certified addiction medicine physician. To Dr. Sellers, this means he is able to give back to others the hope and freedom that was given to him over ten years ago when he was struggling with his own opiate addiction. Dr. Sellers grew up in Clearwater, Florida. He received his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine and completed an OB/GYN residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Dr. Sellers practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in Provo, UT for 12 years, delivering over 6,000 babies. Years of migraine headaches sparked his addiction to pain medications. He spent many years suffering with a desire to stop using opiates and the inability to do so. He ultimately decided to get help using substance abuse treatment and gave up his lifestyle of being a solo obstetrician. He now has 10 years of recovery from drug addiction and is rigorously active in the recovery community. Living a recovery lifestyle for the past decade has created a new perspective on life and what is important to him. Ultimately, Dr. Sellers is now passionate about being of service to the suffering addict in any capacity he is able to provide. He has a relentless desire to offer to others hope and the permission to change course and direction from the devastating use of drugs and alcohol. Dr. Sellers is married with three adult children and four grandchildren. He enjoys golf, sushi, traveling, and humanitarian endeavors.
