Decision Point Center is not a 12-Step addiction treatment program as prescribed by Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. In contrast, Decision Point Center is a clinical, evidenced-based treatment program. operated by licensed therapists and physicians. That being said, we do believe that some aspects of the 12 Steps can be helpful to recovering clients. For instance, the program can be a helpful tool for those who are new to recovery in helping them build a support network on which they can lean when treatment ends.
Clients at Decision Point Center will be required to attend 12-Step meetings so that they may be properly introduced to the 12 Steps and will be encouraged to consider integrating those philosophies and support systems into their post-treatment lives. The decision to make use of the 12 Steps is entirely that of each client. In order to provide a broader view of options for those desiring a different path to recovery, Decision Point Center also exposes clients to alternatives to the 12 Steps.
