Our mission at CareForward Health is to provide clients with the opportunity to experience a full life beyond drugs and alcohol. A life that includes recognizing the beauty that exists around us and within us. We provide a safe, private, and therapeutic environment for clients to begin or further their recovery, where they know they will be treated with dignity and respect. Our intensive outpatient (IOP) and day treatment (PHP) services support clients in building a strong foundation through the 12 steps, psycho-educational groups, life skills education, group and individual therapy, and holistic healing. We educate individuals on the benefits of long-term continuing support post-discharge to enhance and support their continued recovery.
We ensure that clients are provided with the strategies, supports, and resources to create a sustainable life in recovery while pursuing their goals. There are opportunities to foster their passions, build on their strengths, navigate triggers, and create an enriching future. Addiction isn’t a dead end – it’s the chance for a new beginning where clients are empowered to choose sobriety every day. CareForward Health helps them to find their way and balance life’s challenges with a lifestyle of recovery.
- Client & Family Support Groups
Client & Family Support GroupsGroup therapy is a vital component of addiction recovery treatment, considered as important and effective (sometimes even more so) than individual therapy. Benefits include reducing isolation and loneliness and providing the opportunity to learn from others in recovery. In the addiction setting, group therapy is run by trained professionals who guide participants toward a shared goal of recovery. - Dual Diagnosis/Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment
Dual Diagnosis/Co-Occurring Disorders TreatmentThese two terms describe a person who is not only addicted to drugs or alcohol, but also has a mental or emotional illness, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc. Facilities that treat patients with dual-diagnosis or co-occurring disorders provide psychiatric treatment in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation services. - Holistic Therapy
Holistic TherapyFacilities that offer “holistic therapy” see and treat patients in the context of their entire lives and health status. They treat the “whole person,” not just the addiction. - Individual Therapy
Individual TherapyThis term describes one-on-one therapy, in which a patient and trained counselor, social worker, psychologist or psychiatrist meets privately with a patient to discuss challenges related to lifestyle, work, family and romantic relationships that may have contributed to the development of an addiction.

Ericka is a master’s level marriage and family therapist (MFT) and is completing a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. She is currently writing her dissertation: An Exploration of Women in Long-Term Recovery from Alcoholism: A Phenomenological Study. Addiction Specialist: Her clinical focus addresses co-occurring addictions and their associated symptoms; depression, anxiety, hopelessness and isolation. Through a tradition steeped in Depth Psychology, she utilizes individual and group therapy with a working knowledge of the 12-Steps of Recovery. She believes that the goal of psychotherapy is to reveal the client’s biological and environmental causes for current symptoms and to develop new coping skills for living. In her view, psychotherapy has the potential to assist clients in changing their attitudes toward life, which directly effects how they respond to the world around them. She invites you to discover the beauty found within.
