Like all of our treatment centers, Sovereign Health of Texas combines traditional treatment with holistic therapies, such as yoga and equine therapy. Licensed by the State of Texas, we offer residential and intensive outpatient treatment services as well as detoxification for men and women who are dealing with addiction and co-occurring psychiatric disorders.
Nestled along Franklin Mountains State Park, patients will receive individual, couples and family therapy, as well as personalized treatment plans for the best approach possible.
In addition, Sovereign Health of Texas offers treatment for both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking patients. Previous studies have suggested that the nation’s Spanish-speaking population is often unable to access mental health care services in the U.S. due to language barriers.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)EMDR is a highly specific, research-validated form of therapy that can help people overcome traumatic stress, anxiety and depression. With EMDR, a trained practitioner uses bilateral stimulation, eye movement and touch to stimulate parts of the brain as a patient recounts certain experiences and memories as a way to more thoroughly process uncomfortable, painful feelings. - Creative Arts Therapy
Creative Arts TherapyWriting, making art or engaging in theater can be deeply therapeutic for people working to recover from addiction. Many facilities offer one or several forms of creative arts therapy as a way to help patients learn to express their feelings in productive ways.
